Part 2: Tiger Leaping Gorge (Hu Tiao Xia)
Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge
The 16 km long gorge is part of the upper Yangzi River (Chang Jiang, in this
part called Jinsha River). The mountains raise 3900 m above the water level and
make this gorge one of the deepest valleys in the world.

The descent from the newly built road along the lower path down to the water is
very step.
Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge
The name of the gorge comes from three narrow sections with big rocks , where
it's said that a tiger could jump over the water. The people on the rock in the
background visualize the dimensions.
